Das ist schon korrekt so:
Unter der englischen Bezeichnung Pound ist es Teil des angloamerikanischen Maßsystems mit der Umrechnung:
- 1 Pfund (1 Pound) = 0,453592370 Kilogramm
- 1 Kilogramm = 2,20462262 Pfund

Der uns bekannte Pfund ist einfach eine deutsche Konvention für das in der zivilisierten Welt gültigen, metrischen Systems. Soweit mir bekannt, wurde der Pfund, das niemals zum metrischen System gehörte, ansonsten nicht angeglichen und ist dementsprechend auch von Land zu Land (oder gar Region) unterschiedlich.
